Description

London Teaching Pool is currently seeking to recruit a Support Worker with a clean driving license to support our client with learning disability and autism to have access to the community to work for a client in Essex County Council (Colchester) for an immediate start.

The preferred support worker must have experience in supporting client with similar needs and also have a driving license, as vehicle will be provided for the support worker

Our client is aged between 30 - 35 years old has a severe learning disability and some behaviours which can be challenging, she will need support to enable her access the community, attend classes and other activities for 5 days a week.

Our client is not able to verbalise her views, but she will communicate some of her needs in a way which is known with her parents and carers, hence the parents will work in partnership with the carer.

The support hours is for 5 hours a day/5 days in the community (2 to 1 support)

The preferred support worker should be able to engage with our client to undertake and participate in age activities and have experience providing support with similar clients with learning disability.

Due to associated risks, the support will prefer an experienced female support worker

.

This role is for an immediate start

To provide high standards of support to service users in the community, including assistance with, escorting, prompting and engaging with client

To be reliable, punctual and excellent duty of care

Previous support experience is necessary

DBS on the update service
