Description

I am seeking a team of Band two and Band three Health Care Assistants (HCA's) to work out in the Community visiting patients in the comfort of their own home.

The service has been put in place to provide crucial care to patients over the age of 18 who are currently under the care/guidance of a Bristol GP.

The service is used by patients who require help and guidance with managing and learning to live with effects of a long-term condition. It can however extend out to any adult who would be unable to attend an outpatient appointment for health reasons or due to COVID-19 vulnerability.

The care is required by patients who:

Have mobility issues (difficulty walking)

Have difficulty completing their activities of daily living and personal care (such as washing and dressing)

Have a suppressed immune system due to an illness

To be considered for this service you must:

Have at least 6 months experience in a similar setting

Have access to your own vehicle

Be confident verbal prompting of meds e.g. medications are within reach of patient and checking they have taken the right meds at the right time, prompting patients to do so if required

Be confident applying prescribed creams e.g. barrier creams to areas that cannot be reached by patients

Compliance for this position is:

A valid UK Enhanced DBS

Manual Handling & Life Support training certificate or be willing to get this done

Vaccinated against Hepatitis B, MMR & Varicella

The team operates a seven-day service and would be requiring Health Care Assistants to be available between Monday to Sunday. The shift patterns range from 08:00-20:00 (split in to the following 8:00-16:00, 12:00-20:00, 08:00-20:00.

Pay rates:

Mon to Fri :- £8.71- £10.73 (per hour)

Sat :- 11:00- £14.23 (per hour)

Sun:- £13.00 - £17.99 (per hour)
