Description

I am currently recruiting for Band 2 and Band 3 Community Health Care Assistants to work within the Community as part of a service put in place to provide essential care to adults over the age of 18 who are registered with a Bristol GP.

The Community Therapy Teams service is mainly used by people who require assistance in managing the effect of their long-term conditions. It can however extend to any adult who would be unable to attend an outpatient appointment for health reasons.

For example:

Patients who have mobility issues (difficulty walking)

People who are having difficulty completing their activities of daily living and personal care (such as washing and dressing)

The service is consisting of the Community Therapy Teams, and the Community Therapy Rehabilitation Beds team

To be considered for this service you must: Have at least 6 months experience in a similar setting

Have access to your own vehicle

Be confident verbal prompting of meds e.g. medications are within reach of patient and checking they have taken the right meds at the right time, prompting patients to do so if required

Be confident applying prescribed creams e.g. barrier creams to areas that cannot be reached by patients

Have a valid UK Enhanced DBS

Have Manual Handling & Life Support training certificate or be willing to get this done

Have been vaccinated against Hepatitis B, MMR & Varicella

The service operates seven days per week and would be requiring Health Care Assistants between Monday to Sunday and the shift patterns range from 08:00-20:00.

Pay rates: Mon to Fri :- £8.71- £10.73 (per hour)

Sat :- 11:00- £14.23 (per hour)

Sun:- £13.00 - £17.99 (per hour)
