Children’s Community Occupational Therapist – Band 6
We have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s Community Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join the team at Phoenix Children’s Resource Centre.
Location: Bromley – NO REMOTE WORKING
Rate: £28.00 – £30.00 per hour (Umbrella Equivalent)
Hours: 30 hours per week (Mon–Fri, shift days and times flexible)
Duration: ASAP for 2–3 months
Role Type: Community Paediatric OT
Requirement: Must be a car driverRole Overview
You will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload and delivering a specialist paediatric occupational therapy service. This includes:- Undertaking assessments, interpreting results, evaluating, treating, and advising children and their families.
- Evaluating a child’s occupational performance using standardised and non-standardised assessments, observation, interviews with parents/carers, and questionnaires.
- Developing, planning, and implementing specialist OT treatment programmes to enhance children’s ability to perform everyday activities and participate in various environments.
- Assessing the need for small aids and specialist equipment (e.g., seating, bath aids, toilet aids), advising and recommending/providing appropriate equipment for home, pre-school, and school settings in line with service criteria.
Requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in the community with children
- Must be a car driver
