Health Care Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a number of Health Care Assistants to join a CQC graded “Good” Hospital in the area of Bishops Stortford. It is an NHS funded Hospital and we are recruiting for a large inpatient unit who provide top quality care to Elderly Rehab patients.

The service operates a seven-day service from Monday through to Sunday from 07:15-19:45 each day. There are also night shifts available from 19:15-07:45 however these are not as freely available as the day shifts.

The Rehabilitation unit has 28 beds between two wards. Four of these beds are designated Stroke Rehabilitation Beds that are supported by the East & North Herts Early Supported Stroke Discharge Team. The unit caters for patients who need rehabilitation following their stay in an acute setting or need some extra support before returning to their home in the community.

On admission, each patient is assessed by the multi disciplinary team and a plan of care is put in place. The anticipated length of stay will differ from patient to patient depending on their individual needs. On average patients can expect to be on the unit for seven to 14 days.

It is essential that you:

*Have Manual Handling & Life Support training (or be willing to have the training)

*At least 6 months experience in a similar hospital setting

*Have a valid DBS (or be willing to update it)

Salary and Benefits:

Monday to Friday -£12.05ph

Sat/Nights £11.00- £13.00ph

Sun/Bank Holidays -£15.00ph
