NHS Domiciliary Care Assistant - Maidstone & Tonbridge

TLTP Medical are recruiting for experienced Domiciliary Healthcare Assistants to work for Kent Community Health NHS Trust with the Home Treatment Service for West Kent. This service geographically covers both Maidstone and Tonbridge and provide hospital level treatment to people in their own homes. This is often people with long term conditions or frailty for whom a hospital admission is not in line with their current treatment. This service aims to keep patients from being admitted to an acute hospital.

Your role as a Domiciliary Care Assistant will be to travel in your own car from patient to patient throughout the day providing care that will include Dressing, Washing, Feeding & Personal Care as well as some hoisting where required. Other tasks may include Observations, Blood Pressure & Temperatures as well as capillary blood sugars.

You will work alongside other Domiciliary Care Professionals as well as Nurses on most of your shifts and be required to attend handovers and complete reports at the end of each working day back at the office which is in Maidstone.

Depending on the shift you are booked on, either 8hrs or 12hrs you will receive approximately 7 to 12 patients. However, it is important to note that you will be paid for your entire shift time start to finish as well as 45p per mile for any driving that you will be doing from your first to your last patient.

There are two shift times available each day Monday to Friday. 08:00-16:00 or 08:00-21:00. Your work pattern is entirely up to you whether this should be Monday to Friday or just weekends. This is the beauty of working for TLTP Medical your will design your month to suit your lifestyle.
