Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) - Hillingdon Hospital
Location: Hillingdon Hospital, Hillingdon, UK
Salary: Up to £30.00 per hour
Hours of work: 11.5hrs per day
Hillingdon Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing comprehensive care to patients suffering from various mental health conditions, addressing psychological, social, and physical factors contributing to their well-being.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify signs of mental illnesses, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse.
Develop and implement individualized care plans to support patients in their journey to recovery, with a strong emphasis on holistic care.
Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, while monitoring patients for any side effects or adverse reactions.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure the best possible care for patients.
Provide support and education to patients and their families to facilitate understanding and coping with mental health conditions.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date in accordance with hospital policies.
Stay informed about the latest advancements and best practices in the field of mental health nursing.
Requirements:
Valid UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) pin.
Completed preceptorship
Previous experience in a mental health nursing role, preferably in a hospital setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of individuals living with mental health conditions.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, while maintaining a high standard of care.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and nights as required.

Training (MH & BLS)
Qualifications
Immunisations (proof of MMR & Hep B)
