- Description
At TLTP Care we are looking for experienced Child & Adult Care staff in -Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Milton Keynes-. we take pride in our most passionate, caring carers and that attitude is what we are looking for in you. Hoping to build great relationships with both Adult and Children service users while providing the best quality of care possible.
Most of the babies, children and young people Keech support, require specialist carers/nurses due to some of the complex needs they may have.
Some of the common skills they may require (but not limited to), could be:
Care Staff:
Confident in general manual handling training, but preferred confidence with use of ceiling hoists and slings, and handling of a young person with a disability, scoliosis or general difficulty with mobilising.
Confident in supporting personal care and continence, and able to assist with toileting/pad change, bathing/washing and dressing etc.
Confident communicating and giving emotional care to young people who may be non-verbal or use equipment such as EyeGaze and other communication tools.
Confident in use of Gastrostomy/jejunostomy sites, and training in tube feeding via NG/NJ/PEG/MicKey and use of general feeding pumps.
Experience in use of suction machine, and able to follow care plans to support with management of this.
Nursing Staff:
Confident with all manual handling; use of ceiling and mobile hoists and slings, and handling of a young person with difficulty with mobilising, due to a disability/symptom or in the end-of-life phase.
Confident with all aspects of personal care; washing, dressing, continence.
Confident in knowledge of skin integrity, pressure is care, application of dressings etc.
Confident with communicating and giving emotional care to young people who may be non-verbal.
Confident in use of Gastrostomy/jejunostomy sites, and with tube feeding via NG/NJ/PEG/MicKey and use of various feeding pumps, bolus feeding or blended diet.
Experience with complex medication regimes including oral, buccal, enteral, rectal and topical administration routes.
Experience with different types of seizures, and with emergency administration of oxygen, suction machine, administration of seizure medications i.e. Midazolam, Diazepam etc.
Experience with Dystonia/Spasms, and able to follow individualised care plans, to support with management of this.
Experience with symptom management, following plans during lone-working, and experience with end of life or post-death cares.
