I am currently recruiting for HCA's to work with a Hospice Community service which is based in Hertfordshire. They are seeking HCA's to join them on a bank basis working shifts from Monday to Sunday.
The service has an in-patient unit and a community project which covers Stevenage, North Herts and the surrounding towns and villages of Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The Hospice staff delivers personalised and compassionate palliative end of life care for those in need following a diagnosis of a life-limiting illness.
The service is looking for a team of bank staff to join the Hospice's Community Project. The role would be ideal for a HCA who compassionate, resilient and looking to work in a palliative care setting. To be considered for this post, you must be friendly, compassionate, hardworking and reliable.
The Hospice operates as a seven-day service from Monday through to Sunday with day and night shifts available.
Shift patterns:
Long day - 08:00 -20:00
Early 08:00-15:00
Late- 15:00- 20:00
Night - 20:00 - 08:00
However, hours can vary and depend on the requirements of the service.
It is essential that you:
Are a car driver
Have your own car
Have Manual Handling & Life Support training (or be willing to have the training)
At least 6 months experience in a similar setting
Have a valid DBS (or be willing to update it)
