- Description
We are currently seeking Health Care professionals with a kind, patient, and calming approach to work within a charity funded weekend service based in Hemel Hempstead.
It is set up by a countywide out-of-hours mental health crisis service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing a crisis. The centre provides a safe, homely, and welcoming space. It is a safe haven for patients in the community to use if they are in crisis and want some time out or would like to talk through the issues that they are experiencing with someone who will listen, but not make judgements.
We aim to create a warm, welcoming, and homely environment which is somewhere for patients to relax and feel safe, where they can use the facilities and know that skilled and experienced staff are on hand to listen to you and offer support and advice if needed.
The overnight service is based in Hemel Hempstead and has four bed spaces that can be used if an overnight or weekend stay would help the patient to resolve their crisis. The beds are available (depending on capacity) on Friday through to Tuesday mornings. These beds are available for all Hertfordshire residents. All overnight stays are reviewed daily, however if needed patients can stay for the duration of the weekend with prior assessment and are free to discharge themselves at any time.
