Domiciliary Care Assistant

We are currently recruiting for day and night carers to work within the Hertfordshire area. We are working closely with Herts Valley CCG and have several care packages requiring dedicated HCA's for both day and night care, starting immediately.

The care packages vary from case to case and can be working with patients with Learning Disabilities, Palliative Care, life limiting illnesses and the elderly. You will be required to care for the patients within their own home. We like to have a small group of carers working with the same patient to enable continuity of care and a personal service.

To be considered you must: Have some experience working within a care setting

Have experience using hoist

Be reliable and dedicated

Have excellent communication skills

Be prepared to assist with personal care and medication

The hours are typically 08:00-20:00 (days) or 20:00-08:00 (nights) and the packages are on a long-term ongoing basis. You will often be working as a single carer, but some packages can require double up care where you will be assigned with a friend or colleague.
