TLTP Medical are currently recruiting for experienced Band 2 Health care Assistants (HCA's) to join our client's friendly NHS team working within a general inpatient and rehabilitation ward within an NHS hospital in Thurrock.
Shift Times:
Early: 07:15-15:30
Late: 12:30-20:30
Long Day: 07:15-21:15
Night: 19:30-08:00
This service can be described as a 'bridge' between hospital and home patients residing in the Brentwood area and who are aged 18 and over. It is a service that aims to help people regain the best possible level of independence following a recent deterioration in function. It can be seen as aiding recovery following hospitalisation or to avoid hospital admissions.
This unit is made up of inpatient beds that specialise in the rehabilitation of adults requiring general rehabilitation. They aim to provide safe, effective, high quality care by working closely with patients, relatives and a multi-disciplinary team. They offer an individual care pathway to improve and maintain each patient's independence with a view to enabling a successful return to home life or agreed alternative accommodation.
The service are seeking an enthusiastic health care assistant with excellent communication skills to support intermediate care interventions alongside our multi disciplinary team. If you have clinical experience, the ability to work under pressure, are someone who understands the uniqueness of older people and have the drive to want to make a difference, we look forward to hearing from you.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
To assist/support patients with day to day living tasks
To assist/support patients with personal care tasks to include toileting, washing bathing and showering
To assist/support people to take medication in accordance with organisational policy
Supporting nurses and other professionals within the hospital
Salary and Benefits:
Monday to Sunday £8.72-£15.00

What we need from you:
Care experience within Mental health
NVQ 2 or 3 desirable but not essential
Willing to complete required agency compliance
Compliance:
Registrations forms
Training (Basic Life Support + Manual Handling)
DBS (On update service)
Immunisations or Bloods (MMR & Hep B & TB)
Online Training (we provide this)
