Do you enjoy making a difference every? Does brightening up someone’s day motivate you -especially when that someone is a vulnerable adult? If you’ve answered yes, then this could be the role for you.
We are currently looking for a Male Care Assistant in Ilford, (IG postcode) to support a female adult who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. The patient has specifically requested for a male carer due to personal reasons.
Care Assistant role
The role requires providing support with various aspects of daily life six days a week (Mon to Sat) 10am to 6pm.
Duties include:
- Providing companionship to prevent the patient becoming overwhelmed and anxious
- Prompting with medication
- Prompting with basic personal care
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Provide social support in the community and accompany on trips such as to the church, pub, shopping and going for walks
The patient exhibits behaviours that are challenging, therefore it is essential that you have a caring approach, respectful, flexible, and professional at all times.

- £12.00 to £13.00 per hour

As a Care Assistant duties will vary dependent on each client’s individual care plan. These may include personal care, assistance with moving and handling, support with community outings, providing companionship and medication administration.
