Care Assistants
 
TLTP Medical are recruiting for community Care Assistants to join a highly professional team providing palliative care to patients who have been discharged from hospital.

Care Assistants

These are community based roles working for the NHS where you will be required to provide a high level of end of life care to patients in their own homes.

 
Duties for Care Assistants include:

- Providing personal care
- Administering medication
- Moving and handling patients
- Providing social support


Hours of Work for Care Assistants

Whether you are looking for a career change or just to top-up your current working hours or work around University or College we have a range of hours available which include half days and long days.

A number of shifts are available from 8am to 10pm and are highly flexible, offering part-time and full-time hours Monday to Sunday.

The roles are for an immediate start offering competitive daily and weekend rates which are paid weekly, including mileage allowance.


Pay Rates - Care Assistants

You have two payroll options; PAYE or via an Umbrella company. Rates of pay for each are as follows:

Pay rates via PAYE are:

Mon-Fri rate: £8.28 ph
Saturday rate: £11.32 ph
Sunday rate: £13.07 ph

Pay rates via the use of an Umbrella company are:

Mon-Fri rate: £9.90 ph
Saturday rate: £13.00 ph
Sunday rate: £15.00 ph

Qualifications / Experience needed as Care Assistants

In order to be considered for the role you will need to have:

- Qualification to Band 2 level / Health and Social Care level 2 or equivalent
- Some end of life / palliative care experience would be desirable
- Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role although this is not essential as you will undertake training
- Up to date training and immunisations
- A current DBS
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle as the role involves driving
